What's a girl without a needle to do?

Grecian Plait is coming along much more quickly than I anticipated. I finished a modified sleeve maybe two weeks ago, but didn't really touch the project again until a couple of days ago. I started knitting the front, and after only 3 or 4 days of knitting I've got 11.5 inches--the whole grecian stitch portion-- of the top done. I think I'm going to modify the pattern based on my measurements. This could either be very good or very bad; in the event that it is very bad, I'm inserting a "life line" at the top of the grecian stitch portion. That way, if the new shaping looks whacky I can just rip it out and easily modify it.

I want to have this top done soon, especially now that I see how quickly the front is going. Only thing is, I seem to have lost one of my size 7 needles while I was knitting the grecian plait portion (grecian plait stitch uses one small and one big needle). I've searched everywhere for it, but it just doesn't seem to want to be found.

So for now grecian plait is on hold. If my 7 stays lost for long I might just start on the grecian stitch portion of the back.
