For the longest time I've been thinking that needles with interchangeable cords, for circular knitting, would solve all my knitting problems. In fact, part of me (the naive part of me) thought that this idea might make me millions. . .
Looks like I won't become a millionaire, but my knitting life will get a whole lot easier. Look at these! Needle sizes 5-15, can be made any length you need for both STRAIGHT and CIRCULAR knitting!
These babies are going to save me so much money. No more buying 3 sets of size 5 circular needles to have the proper diameter for the body, arms, and edges of a sweater. AND! I'll be able to make any size needle as long as I want for magic loop knitting. That means the possibilities are endless.
I must have these now!
*Oh, PS. . . I went climbing with a new friend today. I rope climbed for the first time ever ( I have only done bouldering before, which is rope-free climbing on walls about 15 feet high) and got ALMOST all the way to the top of a route! We're talking like. . what, 30 or 40 feet up? I have a bad concept for height, but let's just say it was high enough. I'm proud of myself though. :)

Hi Jeanette!!!
Thank you for introducing me to your blog. It's very colorful and I love it! Yes, your mom was my inspiration to get off my posterior, although I'd been thinking about this for about a year or so. Hope school is going well!
IF you've just discovered interchangeable needles you might want to also look into the "options" needles from Knitpicks. Personally, I prefer them over the Denise set.
Just another choice for you to look at.
Funny you should say that, I just found out about the knitpicks options.
I think I'll end up going with an options set, but I'm not sure if I want the wood or the metal ones. I saw the Denises in person and the cord is just too thick for me; a huge part of why I want to have a set of interchangables is to be able to use them for magic loop as well as larger diameter knitting.
I'm torn though, especially because I can't see them in person, between the wood and the metal. In gerenal I dislike knitting with wood needles--but I'v eonly really knit with bamboos. Apparently this wood is very slick and nice. I tend to have an aversion to metal needles. I have a pair of addi turbos that I barely use because they're so dang slippery. On the one hand I think metal could make me knit much faster (especially now that I'm experienced enough not to let stitches slide off the needles) but could also be irritating because of their slipperiness.
Do you have a preference in the options?
